A Brief Introduction
Many of you may have worked with Wayne Scholle, who founded Hero Medallions and built a catalog that has served monument companies and families across the country for over 15 years.
Wayne and I were best friends for over 40 years. When he passed away unexpectedly, I had the opportunity to continue the work and legacy he began by acquiring Hero Medallions and carrying the company forward.
My goal is simple: to preserve and grow what Wayne created and envisioned while continuing to serve monument companies and families with the same respect and care the brand has always stood for.
We are honored to continue producing these medallions that help preserve the stories of the lives they represent.
How a Hero Medallion Is Made
Many people don’t realize that these medallions are not simple castings.
Our medallions are struck under tremendous pressure — often between 380 and 800 tons — creating the deep raised-relief detail that gives each design its dimensional appearance.
- Crisp, detailed artwork
- Strong dimensional depth
- Durable bronze construction
After striking, each medallion receives hand inlaid baked-on enamel color and a heavy-duty clear protective finish that helps preserve the appearance of the medallion.
Why Families Choose Medallions
A name and dates mark a life’s timeline.
A medallion tells the story of that life.
Families often choose symbols that represent the things that defined a person’s life and character.
- Couples rings representing a lifelong marriage
- Faith-based medallions reflecting devotion and belief
- Teachers and educators who shaped generations
- Sports teams and lifelong hobbies
- Fraternal organizations and service groups
- Scouting achievements and lifelong involvement
- Cancer awareness or children’s hospital medallions
These symbols transform a monument from simply marking a resting place into something far more meaningful — a visual story of a life lived and remembered.
That small emblem often becomes one of the most meaningful elements on a monument.
We’re Glad You’re Here
Whether you are a monument company, memorial professional, or someone learning about memorial medallions, we are honored to play a small role in preserving these stories.
Thank You
Thank you for being part of the Hero Medallions community.
A monument shows where someone rests, a Medallion shows who they were.
