About Hero Medallions

Salt Lake City Skyline

Hero Medallions were originally created by Wayne Scholle in 2009 to pay a final and lasting tribute to a loved one.

The primary application of the medallions at the time was to place them on the surface of a headstone, monument, urn or niche plate in a mausoleum, or have a monument company sandblast a recess in the headstone and mount the medallion in a recess.

In addition, they can be given as tributes of appreciation to those being honored alive and already passed.

Today, more and more people are giving the Medallions to LIVING Loved Ones, Military, Community Leaders, Law Enforcement, Fire Fighters, parents, grandparents, siblings, doctors, nurses etc. as Tributes to let their Hero's have the Medallions while they're alive to enjoy their beauty and meaning and when the person passes, the family can put it on their headstone, urn or niche plate in a mausoleum for a continuing  remembrance and lasting honor.

Other applications include;

  • Placing them on or near the casket at the time of the service, or
  • Placing the medallion (a larger size of 4" or greater is best) near the registration book

Don't let the Hero's in your life pass away without giving them a Hero Medallion to enjoy and cherish which will make it even more valuable to both of you, knowing how much they enjoyed it while they were alive and showing them continued and lasting honor when it is on their headstone at their final resting place.
